Lambs 2014
30 March 2014
A day of lovely warm sun has kick started lambing and, after thinking about it all day, Kourtney produced a fine Kerry Hill boy followed by a girl just this side of midnight. Spring has sprung.

Post Christmas Activities
28 December 2013
The tradition of finding some outdoor activities to work off the Christmas lunch continued this year with some heavy duty fence post erecting around the orchard to enable the electric fence to hold its tension a bit better and keep the sheep out. The posts were put in using the Roman technique which involves digging holes, securing the posts at the bottom of the hole with some large rocks, the same at the top and with compacted earth between the two layers and around the surface. It is better for the posts themselves (no bashing the top with post whammers nor encasing them in concrete which eventually induces rot) - and it kept everyone busy in the fresh air on a lovely winter's day.
