Snow

The snow has made life difficult for the Kerry Hills but some sheep nuts morning and evening together with some hay has kept them going. Now we have some milder weather the melted snow on top of already saturated ground has left the grassfield as a virtual marsh.

Water

The relentless rain from the summer onwards has meant that the farm is saturated and there are pools of water seemingly everywhere. As a post Christmas activity we all went out and about to try and get some of this standing water channelled into ditches - here my mother and brother in law are just about to break the last clod that releases the lake!
